COMMITTEES AND WORKING GROUPS

If the observance of Judaism is through action and in daily living rather than through the profession of personal beliefs or a creed, then we at Kahal B'raira have many choices from which to create our own personal practice. As a congregation run by the efforts of volunteers, KB is directed primarily through the activities of our members. We have categorized congregational activities as follows:

  1. HOLIDAY COMMITTEES: Those activities directly involved in the planning and execution of congregational holiday celebrations. All members are required to choose and participate in at least one of these.
  2. WORKING COMMITTEES: Those interests and activities directly involving the organization, function and existence of our congregation. All members are required to choose and participate in at least one of these.
  3. WORKING GROUPS: These groups meet to address the special concerns, interests and activities of congregation members.  Participation in a Special Interest Group is voluntary and does not serve as fulfillment of the work required on a Holiday or Working Committee.
