Kahal B'raira is the creation and continued involvement of our members.
Members work together in committees to shape and plan Congregation activities. Members join a working committee and a holiday committee.
Member Care provides information and support to members who are dealing with difficult situations such as an illness or injury, the loss of a loved one, or any personal crisis that may arise.
Social Action is an integral part of Humanistic Judaism and the life of the Kahal B’raira community. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year for members of all ages and abilities to get involved and make a difference.
Our music "committee" plays at most Kahal B'raira events.
Members having a common interest or concern are invited to form ad hoc groups.
The Middle East Working Group meets monthly to discuss ways to promote and sustain peace and justice in the Middle East. The group is predicated on a belief that both the Palestinian and Israeli people have equal human rights as well as equal rights to self-determination, safety, and well being.
The Brew Club meets when the spirit strikes them. It gives members an opportunity to socialize outside of scheduled congregation activities, as well as to produce beer that the congregation can enjoy at special events. While every batch is different, each is "blessed by the human spirit, but that doesn't make it Kosher".
