We will begin at 9:15am with all congregation singing. Students then depart for Sunday School while adults engage in a Humanistic Service followed by a Martin Luther King Jr. program at 11am. Program features Chad Williams--Associate Professor of African & Afro-American Studies at Brandeis University and honors Martin Luther King, Jr. with a presentation on the role of Jews in the Civil Rights Movement. He is widely recognized as an expert on African Americans and World War I and recently published his first book, Torchbearers of Democracy: African American Soldiers in the World War I Era. More on Dr. Williams can be found on the Brandeis Faculty Guide.
