Jews for a Secular Democracy, a pluralistic initiative of the Society for Humanistic Judaism, is excited to introduce Call With Us!, a new regularly occurring action series from Jews for a Secular Democracy designed to turn your values into real-time advocacy.

We’ll be focusing on a critical issue that speaks to the core of Jewish values and our history:

• The VISIBLE Act, a bill that would put a stop to widely reported unconstitutional practices by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) in which agents are detaining people while wearing unmarked tactical gear and concealing clothing that obscures both their agency affiliation and personal identity.

We’ll walk you through how to find your members of Congress, what to say, and why these are not just policy fights—they are church-state separation issues driven by efforts to impose a narrow religious worldview on a diverse democracy. Then we’ll all make our calls together—and regroup to share how it went. No experience needed. Just bring your phone and your commitment to democracy.
