Public school health education—particularly sex education—is being steadily eroded across the country. This program will examine how sex education policies in Florida have shifted over the past decade, how religious and ideological beliefs are increasingly shaping public school curricula, and why these trends raise serious First Amendment and religious freedom concerns. We will also explore the real-world impacts on youth health and why Florida’s experience reflects a broader national pattern.

This program will also offer concrete strategies for advocacy—how parents, educators, and concerned community members can push back and defend medically accurate, inclusive health education.
